China’s Deer Jet has been voted as Asia’s top private jet charter company at the World Travel Awards.

The award ceremony, held in New Delhi, recognised Deer Jet as the leading private jet charter company in Asia.

Deer Jet beat tough competition from Asia Jet, Lily Jet, Nanshan Jet and TAG Aviation to secure the award.

The World Travel Awards are voted by the travelling public, rather than an industry panel.

Deer Jet’s parent company HNA Group also took home several awards in airline categories, including Asia’s Leading Airline – Business Class.

In an interview with the WTA organisers, Frank Fang (Fang Xinyu), vice president of Deer Jet, said: “To get this award I think I lot of customers, who are really busy making the world better, spent their time voting for us, and I think I should thank them very much.”

“This year Deer Jet is getting more global, we have a new operating base in Dubai, in Moscow and Houston, so we are going global. When we go globally that means that more people can enjoy our service.”
