Given growing demand for its services, Comlux America will expand its hangar space so that the facility, inaugurated in 2012, can accommodate one widebody and up to six narrow bodies.

Since receiving manufacturer approval four years ago Comlux has completed several aircraft at its Indianapolis centre, including an ACJ319, ACJ320, BBJ, BBJ3 and B757. The company expects to finish a ACJ321 soon.

“With our decision to expand to the wide body market, we will grow the team to about 500 employees, starting with the reinforcement of our Sales department,” says David Edinger, CEO Comlux America.

As Comlux goes through a period of expansion the company will appoint Boyd Hunsaker as director of sales. “With Boyd, we benefit from 20 years of experience in the field of VIP aircraft completions, refurbs and maintenance,” says Edinger. “I appreciate the great value he is bringing to our Comlux team.”

Comlux services include aircraft management, sales and acquisitions, cabin design and completion as well as maintenance services.
