Cessna Aircraft Company has received type certification from the EASA for the Cessna Citation CJ3+. This means that deliveries to customers in Europe can begin.

Chris Hearne, vice president, Jets and Interior Engineering says: “This is a significant milestone as the Citation CJ3+ is perfectly suited for the European environment, combining a number of attributes that benefit passengers and operators alike.”

“This is a significant milestone as the Citation CJ3+ is perfectly suited for the European environment, combining a number of attributes that benefit passengers and operators alike.”

“We’ve maximized productivity, technology and comfort in the passenger cabin, and operators and pilots benefit from superb performance characteristics, all at operating and acquisition costs that make the CJ3+ the smart choice for today’s business transportation requirements,” adds Hearne.

The Citation CJ3+ gained its FAA certificate in September, less than six months after its market introduction in March 2014. By the end of 2014, Cessna had already delivered 10 Citation CJ3+ aircraft.

The CJ3+ has a range 3,778 kms (2,040 nm), able to carry nine passengers and can fly non-stop from London to Moscow or Cairo, or Madrid to St. Petersburg.
