The fleet of Bombardier’s Global family of private jets is set to double in Brazil during 2014, as operators in the country take delivery of pre-owned and new build aircraft.

As of 1 January 2014, there were five Global family aircraft registered in the country, comprised of two Global Express XRSs and three Global 6000s. The oldest of these, Global 6000 msn 9018 / PP-VDR, was built in 2000, while the youngest is 2012 built msn 9447 / PP-GUL.

But this year will see the addition of one new build Global 5000 msn 9584 / PR-NOC and Corporate Jet Investor knows of at least four previously owned Global 5000s / Global 6000s, ranging in build years from 2000 to 2011, due to be sold into the country.

The new acquisitions come six months after Bombardier named Lìder Aviação, a Brazilian air charter, sales and maintenance company, as exclusive sales agents for the country.

The long-range Brazilian fleet has been growing steadily over the course of the last few years with deliveries of Dassault’s Falcon 7Xs and Gulfstream G450s and G550s particularly well represented.
