America is open for business jets
President Donald Trump spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos today. (If you are not familiar with the names, the WEF’s Davos meeting is often described as the Corporate Jet Investor London Conference for people not in the business jet market). As you would expect, he highlighted America’s strong economic growth, stock market highs and record consumer and economic confidence. His main message was: “America is open for business, and we are competitive once again.”
At times the President may be a polarizing force, but the consensus among business aviation’s leaders is that he is good for the industry. Back in 2016, when he was still president-elect, some 59% of attendees at Corporate Jet Investor Miami felt that Trump‘s move into the Oval Office would be positive for business aviation. In yesterday’s email survey, (many thanks to those who took part) 77% of business aviation professionals saw the Trump Presidency as a positive force for the business aviation sector — one in four describing it as ‘very positive’.
President Trump is not scheduled to be in the UK next week so will not be at the now-sold-out Corporate Jet Investor London. But you can be sure his name will come up.
Have a great weekend
