AMAC Aerospace has been awarded three new maintenance contracts at their facility in Basel, Switzerland.

An A319 aircraft from a Middle East customer will undergo a heavy maintenance C-Check at AMAC Aerospace. Two A320 aircraft have already entered AMAC’s facility in Basel, Switzerland for an annual check and a C-Check which will be performed by AMAC’s engineers. In addition to that a new governmental tender was won by AMAC Aerospace. The tender includes a C-Check and cabin modifications on a Boeing aircraft.

“We are pleased to continuously receive new maintenance projects in our four hangars and to deliver our excellent quality of workmanship, our high reliability and our expertise in maintenance on narrow and wide-body aircraft to a growing number of our esteemed customer worldwide.” said Alexis Ott, senior manager Sales & Key Account, AMAC Aerospace.

The company also returned a VVIP B747-8i after its first annual maintenance inspection.

A Head-of–State VVIP B747-8i aircraft has been returned to service after its first annual maintenance inspection at AMAC Aerospace in Basel, Switzerland.

The aircraft was outfitted by AMAC in VVIP configuration and was delivered with a fully outfitted VVIP cabin in July 2015, making AMAC the first completion centre in the world to re-deliver a fully outfitted B747-8i in VVIP configuration.

AMAC’s new fourth hangar, which was completed in Q4 2015, as well as teams and shifts were dedicated to this maintenance project, in order to ensure the on-time delivery of the VVIP aircraft.

AMAC Aerospace delivered a VIP B777-200 to an undisclosed Head-of-State customer. The aircraft underwent a maintenance program that included a C-Check in conjunction with a partial cabin removal.

Another A340 aircraft has been returned to service after a maintenance by AMAC Aerospace. The privately owned VIP A340-600 aircraft from an undisclosed Middle East customer underwent a C-Check within a minimum ground-time at the facility in Basel, Switzerland.

Eric Hoegen, Sales & Key Account manager, AMAC Aerospace Switzerland said: “We are extremely glad that we were in a position to re-deliver the aircraft ahead of the scheduled project time considering an already very tight and challenging ground-time. Our teams have been fully committed to meet the customer’s operational requirements. Due to our in-house design organization approval, we were able to carry out various modifications in parallel with the maintenance program.”
