Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services, (LBAS) a centre dedicated to repairing, maintaining and overhauling Bombardier business jets, has opened a second hangar at Schoenefeld Airport in Germany.

The new hangar was formerly occupied by Lufthansa Technik. With the additional capacity, Lufthasa Bombardier Aviation Services can now handle one aircraft in the Bombardier Global series and four aircraft up to the size of a Challenger 850. The hangar has been expanded to include a battery shop and a wheel reconditioning workshop along with offices and recreation rooms.

Christoph Meyerrose, managing director of LBAS, said: “LBAS has done extremely well over the last few years, something that our customers and staff can rightly be proud of. With the expansion of our hangar capacity we are now setting the next milestone. The extra space will enable us to serve our customers even better and continue our positive development in the future.”
