Global Vision flight simulator receives Level D qualification

FlightSafety International’s Bombardier Global Vision 5000/6000 flight simulator recieves FAA and EASA Level D qualification.

FlightSafety International has announced that its Bombardier Global 6000/5000 aircraft simulator has received Level D qualification from the Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency. The new simulator is located at FlightSafety’s learning center in Columbus, Ohio.

“We are pleased to expand the training services we offer to operators of Bombardier aircraft with the Level D qualification of FlightSafety’s new Global 5000/6000 full flight simulator by the FAA and EASA,” said Bruce Whitman, president & CEO.

Training using this new simulator will be available to all Bombardier Global Vision 5000/6000 aircraft operators starting in January 2013.

The new simulator features the company’s electric motion and control loading technology and newly enhanced VITAL X visual system. It is equipped with the Rockwell Collins ProLine Fusion based Vision Flight Deck with four high resolution 15-inch diagonal active matrix liquid crystal displays. It is also equipped with a Head-Up Display (HUD), integrated Cursor Control Panel (CCP), Synthetic Vision System (SVS), Enhanced Vision System (EVS), dual Integrated Flight Information Systems (IFIS), Future Air Navigation System (FANS), Controller-Pilot DataLink Communication (CPDLC) and MultiScan and Weather Detection system.
