Denzil White has returned to Hong Kong’s Metrojet, as the new managing director of the aircraft management and charter department.

White had previously worked for Metrojet as its director of operations, before heading up HNA Group’s Hongkong Jet division.

White will take up his new position on January 1, 2019.

“I am very excited about joining Gary Dolski and the Metrojet family of dedicated professionals and look forward to participating in the sustainable and profitable growth of the business to the highest standards of integrity, safety and customer service,” said White.

Since Metrojet’s appoint of Gary Dolski in September 2017 the company has been focusing on what Dolski says is steadying the ship.

Part of that involved looking at how the company had grown over the previous few years, with Dolski believing that the company had grown too fast, which he says had caused some cracks to form elsewhere.

White’s role will be to ensure that the future growth of the aircraft management and charter side of the business grows in line with the company’s service expectations.

Metrojet’s MRO business is also growing rapidly, with the company receiving various countries’ authorizations to maintain aircraft on their registers.

Based in Clark, an old air force base a short way north of Manila, Philippines, Metrojet has been running out of room as it takes on more work, and may soon look towards building new facilities at the airport.
