Cessna finishes the 300th Citation Mustang entry level business jet less than three years after delivering the first.

Cessna Aircraft Company has produced the 300th Citation Mustang. The first Citation Mustang was delivered in April 2007. Citation Mustangs have a list price of just over $3 million.

“The aircraft continues to set the mark for entry level business jet operations around the world, and its demand has remained fairly resilient during the past year,” said Jack Pelton, chairman, president and CEO, of Cessna Aircraft, a division of Textron. “It has found success in air taxi and charter operations, in flight departments, in training organizations as well as with owner-operators.”

Blink, the UK based air taxi operator, ordered 30 in 2006.

The aircraft have Garmin avionics, Pratt & Whitney Canada engines and a maximum range of 1,200-nautical miles.

Cessna announced the new aircraft at the 2002 National Business Aviation Association convention. The  first flight was in April 2005.
