Iranian Civil Aviation Organization Falcon 20 crash claims four lives

A Dassault Falcon 20E operated by the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization has crashed into the sea off the coast of Kish Island, claiming the lives of all four persons on board.

The aircraft was on a routine airport calibration mission when the aircraft crashed into the sea, 2.5km from Kish Island.

Although no further details of the accident are known, news of Iranian Civil Aviation Organization Falcon 20 crash was reported by the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization’s website to have occurred at 18:46 local time on March 3.

Dassault Falcon 20E MSN 334 / EP-FIC had been delivered to the Iran in 1975, and was one of ten Falcon 20s operated by the government in official roles.

EP-FIC was one of three Falcon 20s operated by the Civil Aviation Authority, with other official departments in Iran who utilize Falcon 20s including the Air Force (3), Army (1), Department of the Police (1) and the Revolutionary Guard (2).

As well as the Falcon 20s the department of Civil Aviation also operates two Dassault Falcon 2000EXs.
