Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) is the statutory body responsible for aviation regulatory (technical/safety and economic) oversight of the Cayman Islands aviation industry including aircraft registered on the Cayman Islands Aircraft Registry. The CAACI has full designation for safety oversight as a UK Overseas Territory. In addition, the Cayman Islands is classified as Category 1 by the USA Federal Aviation Administration under their International Aviation Safety Assessments programme that evaluates a country’s civil aviation authority’s ability to effectively regulate its aviation industry. The CI Aircraft Registry is the registry of choice for many discerning owners and companies globally, with stringent standards and a mandate for safety. The CAACI works proactively with experts from the legal and financial services industries to ensure secure transactions and innovative solutions for registration of aircraft.
