Michel Buffat joined Credit Suisse in 2001 after having spent eight years at a blue chip Swiss engineering firm. Michel has held various corporate finance positions before he joined the aircraft and yachts finance team in 2005. There he has been serving the bank’s ultra high net worth clients in various positions, such as sales manager, head of transactions as well as responsible for portfolio and recovery management. Since 2018 Michel is heading the team and is in charge of Credit Suisse’s global aviation and yacht finance business.
Michel is an active member of the wider business aviation community. Until 2018, he was chairing the EBAA AMAC Financier’s Subcommittee. He is regularly participating as speaker in CJI and other industry events.
Michel holds an MBA from the University of Rochester as well as a masters degree in mechanical engineering from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich.

Liam Byrne is the newly appointed Director of Business Development for the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority.
He has held senior commercial and operational positions with TransAer International Airlines, Lufthansa Consulting and latterly with the UK CAA where he managed business development activities in all key markets as Senior Manager International Development within CAA International.
He has led advisory services business development and projects in safety regulatory policy and oversight, safety management, strategy development and airline/aviation authorities capacity building.

Peter has 28 years’ experience working for the aviation industry, including working for a Hong Kong airline in the early 1990s and working for legal practices in Singapore and Hong Kong over the last 23 years. A significant part of his practice and that of the Clyde & Co APAC team is corporate and private aviation, where he handles a broad range of matters including regulatory, commercial, employment, contingency planning, incident/accident response, health and safety prosecutions, multi-jurisdictional catastrophe and attritional loss handling, and insolvency and enforcement matters for financiers, operators, managers and service providers and their insurers. Peter qualified in England and Wales in 1996 and Hong Kong in 2003.
Safety Oversight Consultant
Captain Len Cormier is the Safety Oversight Advisor for the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA). He is responsible for advising the units Director General on all aspects of the BCAA safety oversight programme, including the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) by service providers.
Prior to working in Bermuda, Len was engaged by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for 14 years as a Chief Technical Advisor in the Asia Pacific region. Over this period, he was responsible for assisting states in in strengthening their safety oversight programmes.
He was previously engaged by Transport Canada for 20 years as an inspector and manager in the area of personnel licensing, aerodromes and flight standards. For most of that period, he was responsible for the development of air operator regulations and standards, as well as oversight of air operators.
Len began his aviation career as a pilot for various air operators in Canada. He holds a Canadian Airline Transport Pilots License and is type qualified on the DC-3, C550, CL601, B737, B757, B767 airplanes and on the Bell 206 helicopter.
As President of Jetcraft Asia since 2012, David Dixon is responsible for optimizing sales strategies and managing operations from Beijing to Sydney. A leading global authority on the private aviation sector, David has lived and worked in Asia in aircraft sales for more than 30 years, and has more than four decades of aerospace industry experience. David joined Jetcraft following a long and successful career as Regional Vice President for Bombardier Business Aircraft. He was awarded the �Member of the Order of the British Empire� (MBE) distinction by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1977 for his contribution to British exports and is the former Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA).
David is originally from the UK and currently resides in Hong Kong.
Gary brings more than 40 years of progressive international aviation experience to Metrojet
having previously worked for Bristol Aerospace, Bombardier, MD Helicopters and Jet Aviation.
In September 2017, Gary was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Metrojet Limited. The
company’s principle lines of business include Aircraft Management and Maintenance with
operations based in Hong Kong SAR and Clark, the Philippines, servicing the Asia Pacific region.
His work experience covers business development and strategy, customer support, finance,
commercial, completions/refurbishment, manufacturing, programme management, FBO,
MRO, and aircraft management and charter within the commercial, military and general
Gary has significant international experience having held numerous senior management
positions based in locations throughout Canada, the UK, USA and Singapore prior to his arrival
in Hong Kong.
Senior Director Aircraft Management
Carlos Gomez was appointed Senior Director Aircraft Management for Asia Pacific with Jet Aviation in
February 2021, bringing more than 30 years of industry experience in both the commercial and business
aviation sectors that include British Airways, Iberia and United Airlines across Europe, USA and Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, Gomez is responsible for aircraft management within the region with a focus on
enhancing customer-centricity and the global experience. He also supports Jet Aviation’s various lines of
businesses across Asia Pacific and works closely with the regional FBOs and MRO locations to provide an
integrated service offering to customers. He oversees a team of over 100 employees and crew in aircraft
management and private charter in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Prior to joining Jet Aviation, Gomez held several key positions with TAG Aviation, including Chief Operations
Officer UK and Chief Executive Officer Asia. Gomez holds a Master of Business Administration degree from
IESE Madrid – Navarra University and a Bachelor of Business and Economics degree from the University of
Somosaguas, Madrid, Spain
Paul represents ultra-high-net worth individuals and their business enterprises around the world, representing in 2020 over $300 billion in “Forbes List” individuals and over $1 trillion turnover in business enterprises. In 2018 he was named by the prestigious Chambers & Partners as the top private aviation lawyer in world – the first and one of only two to ever receive the award – and he has been rated as the top private aviation lawyer based in Asia and one of the top few globally by the same publication for the past six years. He has closed nearly $20 billion in transactions over the last 15 years and has also handled numerous restructuring, repossession, enforcement and related litigious matters. He is the managing partner of the Hong Kong office of Pillsbury Winthrop and co-head of the firm’s private wealth and asset finance practices globally. He is qualified to practice law in England, the United States and Canada.
President JetHQ Asia
After an illustrious career in the Indian Army, flying helicopters for almost 20 years, Rohit decided to hang up his boots and moved to the world of civil aviation in 2003. He has served in numerous leadership roles within business aviation since, including as CEO and company founder.
In addition to setting up the corporate aviation department for Punj Lloyd Limited, a foremost Indian infrastructure company, and leading it for several years, Rohit served as the CEO of Indocopters Private Limited, the sales and support distributor of Airbus Helicopters (then Eurocopters) in India.
Rohit founded Arrow Aircraft in 2010, and was responsible for its vertical handling Gulfstream, HondaJet and Beechcraft sales. He’s an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and contributed to the founding of the Business Aircraft Operators Association (BAOA) in India. Golf and reading are Rohit’s passions away from aviation.
Ms. Lau is the Group President of the Sino Jet Group, which she established in 2011. In close cooperation with the Sino Jet leadership team, Ms. Lau plays a prominent role in formulating and implementing the company’s growth and development strategies. She also defined the company’s mission and values – which include a commitment to service excellence, diversification and to creating new business opportunities by forming win-win alliances with vendors and industry players.
In 2014, Sino Jet merged with Bear Jet under the investment of Tsinghua Holdings Industry Investment Fund (TH capital). Since this time, Sino Jet expanded rapidly and became the largest business jet operator in Asia Pacific with a fleet size of 45 in 2019. Sino Jet is also continued its reign as the fastest growing operator, changing the landscape of China’s thirty-year-old business jet industry. Sino Jet delivers services through an international hub structure which is supported by dual headquarters in Beijing and Hong Kong, in addition to bases in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai, Chengdu and Singapore. In addition to her role as Group President of Sino Jet, Jenny was also elected as the first female chairperson of AsBAA in 2017 since its establishment 20 years ago.
Prior to joining the world of aviation, Ms. Lau had a successful career in the private banking division of Morgan Stanley, providing wealth management services and advice to ultra-high-net-worth clients in North America and Asia. During this time, Ms. Lau keeps developing the opportunities of the business aviation industry in Asia. Ms. Lau holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. She holds three securities trading certifications in the United States of America and serves as Independent Non-executive Director of Digital Domain- a public listed company on Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Vice President, Asia Pacific
Darren McGoldrick is the Vice President of ExecuJet Asia Pacific, leading the company’s operations throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and CPA qualifications, and has over 25 years’ experience in commercial, financial, management and leadership roles in a variety of industries including aviation, hospitality and construction.
He joined ExecuJet in 2000 as Finance Director and following his successful involvement in a number of other strategic roles and projects was appointed Managing Director for the Region in 2010.
Throughout this period some of Darren’s key achievements has been the establishment of ExecuJet’s business in Singapore and Malaysia and the expansion of the Australian and New Zealand operations to include Melbourne, Perth and Wellington to the Sydney based business. He has managed the growth of the company both in Australia and South East Asia to now include 21 aircraft under management, including 11 charter aircraft, 4 FBOs and 4 MRO facilities.
Darren is also an Executive member of the Australian Business Aviation Association (ABAA).
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve is an educated degreed engineer, Six Sigma Master blackbelt, working sales professional with a strong background in private, business, and commercial aviation. Having 35 years of experience at GE in engineering, customer/product support and sales, Steve’s primary focus is business aviation engine and OnPoint sales and service on GE CF34, Passport and CFM engines powering Boeing Business Jets, Airbus Corporate Jets, Bombardier and Embraer Business Jets within his regions around the world.
As a pilot, Steve comes from a family of pilots and has enjoyed the pleasure and challenges of aircraft ownership as well. Combining his years of professional experience with his passion for Aviation, Steve brings a firsthand understanding of business aircraft management and ownership to his customers.
Stuart is a Partner of Clyde & Co. He is based in the Hong Kong office where he leads the APAC Aviation Finance & Leasing team, with a particular focus on corporate / private jet aircraft.
Stuart has been privileged to act for significant industry participants shaping the corporate / private jet market in APAC. He has acted for many banks and other financiers, owners (both UHNWIs / HNWIs and corporates), lessors, operators and managers. He has a wide perspective of the industry sector, and advises buyers and sellers, lenders and borrowers, lessors and lessees, as well as other stakeholders on their respective interests across different types of transactions and structures.
Stuart’s international approach comes from his personal background and extensive aviation experience in international law firms over the last 20 years. He has been based in Hong Kong for the last 10 years, and was based in London (England) for the 10 years prior to that. His early years of legal practice were in Auckland (New Zealand). He has been involved in a wide variety of cross-border aviation, commercial, banking and finance, and corporate matters involving many jurisdictions throughout his career.

Gary joined the aviation insurance market in 2001 and moved to Asia in 2008. He is responsible for the development, servicing and placement of regional client accounts. His areas of expertise are primarily in Airline, General/Business Aviation, Major & Local Airports and Rotor Wing operations. Being positioned in Asia allows Gary to be closer to the regional business and allows Aon to offer both existing and potential clients, specialty expertise with a faster and more responsive service in line with their needs.
In 2017, Gary was elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) for a two year term. AsBAA is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote and provide a platform for communication & awareness of Business Aviation’s contribution to the regional economies in Asia.
Gary is a member of the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) advisory board for Asia, working towards helping the aviators of tomorrow find their first steps into the industry and realise their career goals in aviation. In addition, he is a member of the Irish Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Board of Directors.
A former private pilot and aircraft Dispatcher for an international ground handler, Graham started in the Insurance Industry 15 years ago for a Lloyds syndicate in London. He has been working in Singapore for Tokio Marine Kiln, heading up the aviation department, for nearly 10 years.

Andy’s aviation engineering career began in the Royal Air Force over 41 years ago. Held various senior technical, supervisory and management posts for 13 years with British Airways, in the UK and at stations worldwide. An EASA part 66 licensed aircraft engineer (current, B1 and C). Worked for McLarens Aviation (formerly Airclaims) originally in the London office for 3 years prior to transferring to Singapore in 2007. My position now is Regional Director for Asia, which includes the management of the Asia offices and staff including the teams in Singapore, China, and India. Highly experienced in handling all classes of aviation claims. These have included a number of high-profile major airline insurance losses, General Aviation claims, corporate, commuter, helicopter, light aircraft losses, complex engine and airport liability claims. Highly experienced in dealing with the London and Asian Aviation Insurance markets..
Sr. Manager, Global Partnerships, Urban Air Mobility Division
Yesh has always found himself at the center of developing solutions for new and emerging markets. It’s perhaps because he thrives in challenging and undefined environments, and garners success by treading the gray and seeing the opportunity in every challenge.
After 16 years at BAE Systems, he recently joined a new dynamic enterprise, Urban Air Mobility, a division of Hyundai Motor Group. At Hyundai’s UAM team, as Sr. Partnership Manager, he now focuses on developing and deploying blueprints for sustainable multi-modal mobility ecosystems that will create the right environment for air mobility to thrive and be successful. Sales Director – Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand
Alexander had graduated from the University of California, Riverside, as a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration and Accounting. Alex began his career as a Tax Associate in the financial service industry sector at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In PwC, Alex was responsible to provide tax consulting services for the top tier financial agencies. After spending some time with PwC, Alex then joined Chailease Finance as a member of the structured finance team, where he served as assistant manager and regional manager. In Chailease, Alex was leading the team’s origination activities with focus particularly in Asia Pacific. Alex provided multiple bespoke financing solutions on aviation related assets including helicopters, business jets, aircraft spare engines, and aircraft simulators during his time with Chailease. Alex has joined Global Jet Capital since 2018 as an Associate Sales Director and progressed into the Sales Director responsible for the company’s origination activities in the APAC region.

Senior Vice President, Business Development EMAA
Mark Winzar brings many years of aviation experience to his role as Vice President, Technical Services. He began his aviation career as a helicopter engineer in the UK. He spent eight years specializing in military helicopters with the UK Ministry of Defense. From there, he moved into commercial business before joining the BBA central sales team at H+S Aviation. During this time, he was responsible for generating business on all engine types covered within the BBA group. After four years, Mr. Winzar was promoted to Commercial Manager and was part of the team that set up the new PWC JT15D program at H+S, the company’s first fan engine type. He was also responsible for the combined commercial operations of both the Field Service and JT15D programs.
Mr. Winzar joined JSSI in 2009 as a Technical Services Representative and was promoted to Technical Services Manager two years later. Mr. Winzar was integral in setting up the JSSI office in Hong Kong and expanding our business in Asia. In 2013, Mr. Winzar was promoted and was responsible for new business development and Technical Services as Director of the EMEAA region. Today, he is responsible for leadership of the JSSI Worldwide Technical Services Team.

Supernal’s first air vehicle will be electric-powered and autonomous-capable and is planned to accommodate four to five passengers on initial urban and urban-adjacent routes. The company plans to launch its first commercial flight in 2028 and scale operations as the AAM market and public acceptance begin to grow in the 2030s
