Michael Amalfitano new head at Embraer Executive Jets
Michael Amalfitano is leaving Stonebriar Commercial Finance, and more than 35 years of aircraft finance, to become president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. Marco Tulio Pellegrini is moving to another role at Embraer.
“We are thrilled that Michael has decided to join Embraer to lead our Executive Jets business. We are confident that as a very seasoned and successful executive he is qualified to take advantage of our position as a leading player in this highly competitive industry”, said Paulo Cesar Silva, Embraer CEO.
One of the most highly respected financiers, Amalfitano also worked at Banc of America Leasing, Fleet Capital, and GE Capital.
Whilst Amalfitano’s move is a surprise, Embraer likes hiring former financiers. John Slattery, the president of Embraer Commercial Aircraft, worked in aircraft leasing and Silva joined the manufacturer from a bank to run sales finance.
