Yves Germeaux, CFO, Luxaviation

Yves Germeaux has joined European business jet group Luxaviation as chief financial officer. He joins from freight airline Cargolux.

“I am beyond confidence that Yves will be a major asset to our business as we continue on our steep international growth trajectory and our market-leading operations in Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the UK,” said Patrick Hansen, CEO of Luxaviation Group.

Germeaux was vice president of corporate finance at Cargolux, where he headed the aircraft financing, business planning, treasury and financial risk management activities. Germaux was also involved in fleet planning and strategic projects. Cargolux won a number of Airfinance Journal Deal of the Year Awards for transactions structured by Germaux. Before Cargolux he was head of corporate finance at Luxembourg steel company Arbed (which became Arcelor Mittal).

Birgit Krommes has also joined Luxaviation as a corporate finance manager, she held a similar role at Cargolux.

Luxaviation has a fleet of 90 aircraft and 470 employees which makes it the third largest business jet operator in Europe. The company has grown quickly buying UK operator London Executive Aviation (LEA) and French company Unijet in 2014. It also acquired German operator Abelag in 2013.
