WestWind N793BG crash claims three lives
A IAI WestWind 1124A private jet has crashed on take-off from Huntsville Airport, claiming the lives of all three people on board.
The 1983-build aircraft, registered as N793BG / msn 392 crashed while departing from Huntsville International Airport in the state of Alabama.
According to local media reports the aircraft came off the runway on departure, and was destroyed by fire.
Local news station WAFF 48 posted a viewer photo on their Twitter feed showing a plume of thick black smoke coming from where the aircraft had crashed.

The accident happened at 14:21 local time on Wednesday 18 June, as the aircraft was trying to depart Huntsville International Airport with three persons on-board.
“On behalf of the entire Huntsville International airport, Port of Huntsville, all of our regional mutual aid response teams are very saddened by this notification of loss of life,” said acting public relations manager for Huntsville International Airport, Karen Yarbrough.
Following the accident the airport was closed for approximately three hours.
A team from the National Transportation Safety Board were due to arrive at the scene early on Thursday.
