VistaJet clients on flights from Singapore will be offered a special menu from Shangri-La Singapore’s Michelin-star restaurant Shang Palace to celebrate the Lunar New Year, marking the Year of the Rabbit, which begins on Sunday, December 22nd.

“Lunar New Year is a very important period in many parts of Asia,” said Ian Moore, chief commercial officer, VistaJet. “With the Chinese border now open, families can go back to China for reunions and corporations can send executives for business. We are optimistic about the growth prospects for the region in 2023.”

VistaJet said it has  experienced a large year-on-year increase in traffic into the region in 2022. In the first nine months, VistaJet Singapore flights increased 376% compared with 2021, and 40% up on pre-pandemic levels.

Lo Hei, which means ‘prosperity toss’  in Cantonese, is a custom during Lunar New Year in Southeast Asia involving the festive Chinese dish Yu Sheng. The menu will include ingredients such as abalone, scallops, lobster, coral trout and suckling pig.

Daniel Cheung, CEO, Shang Palace said: “A reunion feast during the Lunar New Year is never complete without Yu Sheng, which signifies good luck, prosperity and hope for the coming year.”
