Victor completes 500 bookings on Neste’s SAF
On-demand private jet charter firm Victor announced successful completion of 500 bookings for the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on its private jet charter flights hinting at strong growth in voluntary demand for greener fuel alternatives from clients.
“By voluntarily choosing to buy SAF, our customers are helping to establish a critical new SAF supply chain. We think the direct-to-consumer voluntary SAF market could raise billions, if a similar proportion of all flyers were able to pay relatively more when they book their commercial flight,” said Toby Edwards, co-CEO Victor.
Victor used SAF provided by Neste as part of the partnership between the two firms. Since June 2022, Victor and Neste have partnered on the direct-to-consumer SAF blueprint.
Victor said that one in five of its customers voluntarily buy on average £950 of Neste MY SAF™ for their private jet charter bookings, with an average emission reduction of 1.5 tonnes per booking.
Victor and Neste’s ‘pay here, use there’ solution, aligned with Science Based Targets, has meant that SAF can be purchased for any private jet booking worldwide, regardless of the departure airport.
“Victor and Neste have created an industry-leading blueprint that we hope other companies will follow as the aviation sector strives to reduce emissions to net zero by 2050. SAF is essential to reaching this goal, immediately reducing life-cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions,” said Alexander Kueper, Vice President, Renewable Aviation, at Neste.
