Swiss-based Vertis Aviation, part of the 28 East Group, has appointed Neil Turnbull to the newly-created position of chief operating officer.

Turnbull will lead the day-to-day operations of the air charter company, freeing up the partners to focus on strategic development. He will be based at the company’s Kensington, London office and will report directly to the board in Zug, Switzerland.

Most recently, Turnbull held the position of general manager at SaxonAir Charter at the Norwich, UK facility.

Neil Turnbull said: “I am very excited to be part of the young and dynamic organisation at Vertis Aviation which is making a significant impact in the luxury air charter market globally. I welcome the opportunity to bring my skills, experience and ideas to the fore to support the board and maximise the full potential of the business.”
