Textron Aviation has expanded its Stuttgart line station facility to become a satellite service centre, as part of additional investments in its European service network.

Textron is expanding its factory-direct service options at Stuttgart Airport to deliver shorter downtime and increased flexibility with twice the amount of hangar space and double the size of engineering team. The base will now have service capabilities for the Beechcraft King Air series, bringing the service to more than 100 operators in Germany.

Textron Aviation has a European-top with more than 1,800 jet and turboprop aircraft operating in the continent.

Phil Jones, vice president, European Service Centers, said: “We have strategically enhanced our footprint and capabilities in Europe due to the growing demand for services to ensure access to factory-direct service and support to customers.”

He added: “This new service centre model allows us to provide additional factory-direct support and deliver expert care to our aircraft owners and operators, regardless of where they are in the world.”

In addition to Stuttgart, Textron continues to operate two additional line stations in Cannes and Geneva and five company-owned service centres located in Düsseldorf, Paris Le Bourget, Prague, Valencia, Zürich and Geneva.

The company has a team of more than 450 employees in Europe, as well as a parts distribution centre located in Düsseldorf with more than 40,000 parts available to serve the European Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker fleet.
