Textron Aviation has delivered the 400th Cessna Citation Latitude business jet to Simmons Foods, Arkansas. Joining the company’s fleet of three Citation jets, the new Latitude will be used for executive travel between multiple US locations.

Todd Simmons, CEO, Simmons Foods said: “Over the years, we’ve found that Citation jets mean business in every way. Our fleet of Citations has significantly enhanced our company’s operational capabilities, allowing us to serve our customers, employees and farmers more effectively.”

Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president, Global Sales and Flight Operations, Textron Aviation said the delivery was a testament to the aircraft’s superior design. “This milestone not only reinforces the Latitude’s status as the leader in the midsize jet segment, but also underscores our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, setting new standards for comfort, efficiency and performance in the aviation industry,” said O’Bannion.

Certified in 2015, the Citation Latitude, which boasts a 2,700nm range, has been the world’s most-delivered midsize business jet for eight consecutive years, according to the manufacturer. Accommodating up to nine passengers, the aircraft can fly nonstop between destinations such as New York and Los Angeles or Vancouver and Guatemala City.

Family-owned and operated company since 1949, Simmons Foods, based in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, supplies poultry, pet and ingredient products.

Meanwhile, last month Textron Aviation reported second-quarter reveune up by  8.2% year-over-year to $1.5bn from $1.4bn in the same period last year. The manufacturer attributed the improvement to both better pricing and higher volumes.
