London Biggin Hill initiated plans for temporary helipad at Ebbsfleet Station

Robert WaltersPlans are at an advanced stage to establish a temporary licensed helipad
during the 2012 Olympics next to the Ebbsfleet International Station. This plan
was initiated by the management of London Biggin Hill.

Visitors
to the 2012 Games arriving by helicopter at Ebbsfleet International from Biggin
Hill will have a short walk from the heliport to the train station and with
pre-booked tickets will be outward bound on the Olympic Javelin shuttle to Stratford within minutes. The
train journey should take ten minutes. Return arrangements will follow the same
procedure.

“By using the Ebbsfleet heliport link, business
aviation customers arriving at Biggin Hill will be able to access the Olympic
Park in the fastest possible time and under the most convenient arrangements”
says Robert Walters, business development manager for Biggin Hill
Airport.

“An additional benefit will be that passengers on this
routing are not subject to the usual constraints of any other form of London’s public
transport” he says.
