Hughes appointed director of maintainance at Metrojet

Steve HughesMetrojet has announced the
appointment of Steve Hughes as director of maintenance and engineering. Hughes
will oversee all aspects of Metrojet’s maintenance operations, including CAMO
DME and Part 145 Repair Station Accountable Manager responsibilities.

Hughes
brings 29 years of experience in the aviation industry, of which 22 years have
been in the business aviation industry.

Hughes started his career in
the UK Royal Air Force Tornado squadrons, followed by experience in a variety
of fields within business aviation, including a maintenance manager role with
Jet Aviation Saudi Arabia in Jeddah for three years. He spent the last ten
years with NetJets Europe, and assumed the role of director of maintenance and
engineering in 2002.
