At 10am this morning, heavy snow closed London Oxford Airport. The airport hopes to re-open this afternoon after extensive snow clearing using a snow plough has been undertaken by the airport operations team.

Barclays London Heliport remains closed, due to the recent tragic helicopter accident and the continuing bad weather.

London Biggin Hill Airport has been open all day and operating normally and is still accepting flights. The airport has handled extra flights from other airports and have reported no delays. Biggin Hill have been using an arctic snowblower and brush unit which clears snow from runways and taxiways much quicker.

Cambridge Airport has been operating normally today, the weather has kept to the west of Cambridge, allowing the airport to remain open. However, the bad weather is likely to effect the airport over the weekend.
