Flight activity at the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre (SHPBAC) FBO in Shanghai increased by 17.7 per cent in March 2015 compared to March 2014.

The facility recorded 440 movements in March compared to 380 in March 2014.

Carey Matthews, general manager of Shanghai Hawker Pacific, said: “This has been our busiest March since we opened in 2010.  The flying activity is positive, and I believe our customers, both international and domestic, continue to recognize the value of business aviation and the value of business in Asia and Shanghai specifically.”

Additionally, the first quarter for the facility is the busiest start to any year since opening in 2010.

Shanghai is generally considered to handle roughly one third of all business aviation movements in mainland China. The first quarter saw well over 1,100 movements at both Pudong and Hongqiao airports.

The Shanghai FBO provides services at both airports and is also the host for this year’s 2015 ABACE.
