The ongoing development of Scottsdale Airport in Arizona has taken another step forward, with the airport terminal building and the aviation business centre being demolished as part of the current Airport Master Plan.

The terminal and business aviation centre will be rebuilt, which should be completed in 2018. The new business centre will include a larger restaurant on the second level with outdoor patio seating and views of the airfield and the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Mountains.

Additionally, there will be an event venue equipped to host a variety of meeting and other events along with the new restaurant. There will be offices for the US Customs service, Civil Air Patrol, Airport Administration and office space that will be available for lease. There also will be a lobby area and outdoor plaza area.

Next to the aviation business centre, two 30,000 square foot hangar facilities will be added expanding the executive hangar facilities at the airport. These new hangars will be managed by long-term airport tenant Gemini Air Group.

The hangars will be able to accommodate aircraft up to the size of a Gulfstream 650, Falcon 7X or Bombardier Global Express.
