SC Aviation breaks ground on $3.5m hangar

SC Aviation has broken ground on a new 30,000 sq. ft. hangar at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, representing a $3.5m investment as the company enters its 80th year in private aviation.
The facility, designed to accommodate aircraft up to the size of the Gulfstream G700 and Bombardier Global 8000, will expand capacity for aircraft storage, maintenance, charter operations and fleet growth.
Construction is expected to complete in March 2027.
The project is being driven partly by unmet demand. SC Aviation currently maintains a waiting list of aircraft owners seeking hangar space at the airport, which serves the broader Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison region.
“This new hangar ensures we have the infrastructure to support our continued growth, better serve aircraft owners and charter clients, and create opportunities for our team for decades to come,” said Adam Singer, vice president of SC Aviation. “We’re proud to continue investing in Southern Wisconsin and building on the legacy that has defined SC Aviation.”
Founded in 1946 and a wholly owned affiliate of Colony Brands, SC Aviation provides aircraft charter, management, maintenance and consulting services.
The company holds WYVERN Wingman, ARGUS and IS-BAO Stage 3 safety certifications.
