SaxonAir says it is seeing a strong sales in the new Nextant G90XT turboprop, which recently completed its maiden flight in the US.

Chris Mace, group commercial director, said: “Like the 400XTi, the G90XT is rewriting the rules by taking a good, familiar and proven aircraft and making it even better. As an operator, the G90XT is an exciting prospect not only offering great flexibility but reduced operating costs, lower scheduled maintenance figures, enhanced performance and better range.”

Nextant conducted research with existing King Air C90 owners and listened to the responses, offering an attractive package which is sure to have impact within the market sector.

Captain Nathan Marker, Nextant’s chief test pilot and vice president of Flight Ops was at the controls of the G90XT for the first flight. “The increased power was very noticeable during the take-off run,” he said.

“I was also impressed by the lower noise levels in the cockpit. The change in position of the propellers relative to the fuselage combined with the new engine makes for a much quieter and more comfortable flight experience for passengers,” added Marker.

Once flight testing and certification is completed, the G90XT will be making its European debut this summer, with the aircraft being available for viewing and test flights.

Caleb Whitehead, head of aircraft sales for SaxonAir, said: “The G90XT can either be offered as a remanufactured package to existing C90A owners, or with support from Nextant we can source a suitable base airframe to undergo the remanufacturing process and deliver a new aircraft to a new owner.”

“Both routes offer some degree of flexibility, with the owner having multiple choices and customised options inside and out. All G90XT’s which leave the factory benefit from a full tip-to-tail warranty, supported by a comprehensive global network of service and support centres giving owners reassurance,” Whitehead added.
