Sankaty Advisors and Deutsche Bank buy GE Capital Australian business jet portfolio
Sankaty Advisors, the credit fund of Bain Capital, and Deutsche Bank have bought GE Capital’s Australian Commercial Finance portfolio.
The A$20 billion ($14 billion) portfolio contains a mixture of assets including corporate aviation finance, debtor finance, leveraged finance, equipment finance and asset-backed lending.
The portfolio includes 23 corporate aircraft loans.
Ashurst and Herbert Smith Freehills advised Sankaty Advisors and Deutsche Bank. Morgan Stanley advised GE. King Wood Mallesons and Minter Ellison were legal counsel to GE.
