Scandanavian Air Ambulance have ordered four EC145 T2

Helicopters will be operated in the far North of Finland

Eurocopter EC145 T2Eurocopter recently
announced that Scandanavian Air Ambulance have ordered four EC145 T2
helicopters for ue in the far North of Finland. .The newly-ordered helicopters
are to be flown from three northern bases – Oulu,
Kuopio and one
Laplan location in Rovaniemi on emergency air ambulance flights and
inter-hospital transportation of patients. These operations will be performed
in the framework of a medical helicopter service contract awarded last week to
Scandinavian Air Ambulance by FinnHEMS (Finnish Authority in charge of EMS
Service by Helicopters).

“Scandinavian Air Ambulance is one of Scandinavia’s largest air ambulance
companies, and its choice of the EC145 T2 is a strong endorsement for this
variant of the Eurocopter’s modern helicopter product line,” said Jacques
Cardaillac, the sales director of Northern Europe
at Eurocopter.

“Eurocopter’s development of the evolved EC145 T2 provides a helicopter system
that meets our needs in a very challenging operational environment,” explained
Dick Lindholm, the president of Scandinavian Air Ambulance – Finland. “We
look forward to receiving the EC145 T2s beginning in 2014, which will join our
Eurocopter fleet that already consists of EC135s and EC145s, along with AS365
helicopters.”
