Busy time for Royal jet over the recent Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

Royal Jet’s award-winning FBO played host to a large number of VIPs, celebrities and motor racing enthusiasts from across the globe who attended the Yas Marina Circuit to watch a critical race in the closing stages of the 2012 Formula 1 world championships.

The Abu Dhabi-based international luxury flight services company reported its busiest weekend of the year for aircraft movements.

“For the fourth year running, the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix provided Royal Jet with an opportunity to showcase to the rest of the world our world-class and award-winning product and service,” said Shane O’Hare, president and chief executive officer of Royal Jet. “Our FBO and VIP facility complements Abu Dhabi’s acknowledged position as a superb international venue for world-class sports, arts and cultural events.”

O’Hare continued “Handling such a large number of private aircraft movements so smoothly is very much a team effort, and so I want to thank Abu Dhabi Aviation, the Presidential Flight Authority, ADAC, ADNOC, Abu Dhabi International Airport Catering, Abu Dhabi Airport Security and Abu Dhabi Customs and police officials for their full support.”

Royal Jet’s FBO is just three minutes by helicopter transfer or 10 minutes by limousine from the Yas Marina Circuit, which is a major advantage for teams and spectators alike.

“For the large number of race team and spectator aircraft, our FBO service continues to be a unique offering,” O’Hare said. “This has helped us to enjoy an increase in business during the last three Abu Dhabi Grands Prix, and this year’s event has made it four consecutive years of success.”
