Richard Thomas joins Rentl as vice president of Sales & Marketing

San Francisco, CA – January 7, 2019 – Rentl, the technology-enabled vacation rental management company, today announces the appointment of Richard Thomas as vice president of Sales & Marketing. In his new role, Richard will be responsible for activity across marketing, communications, business development and revenue management.

Richard has over 20 years’ experience marketing to affluent audiences, with a track record of successfully directing strategic domestic and international campaigns in a diverse range of industries including hospitality, technology and private aviation. Before joining Rentl, Richard was Vice President of Marketing at Stellar Labs, a Silicon Valley aviation technology company, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of marketing and communications. Prior to that he launched and directed Philtre Digital, a London-based marketing and communications agency where he developed and implemented full-scale marketing and communications campaigns for a diverse client portfolio.

Richard will lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts to US vacation homeowners in a range of key markets who wish to rent out their properties, and also its newly launched Powered by Rentl, short-term rental platform targeted at residential real estate agents.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University where he played varsity football and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
