Mente Group has promoted Rich Ropp to senior managing director, based in St. Louis, strengthening the Dallas-based aviation advisory and brokerage firm’s presence across the central United States.

Ropp joined Mente Group earlier this year and will continue to focus on aircraft transactions, client advisory services and strategic growth initiatives throughout the Midwest.

“Rich Ropp has greatly strengthened the firm’s advisory and transaction capabilities in important markets and has proven to be a tremendous addition to our team,” said Brian Proctor, CEO of Mente Group. “His leadership, market knowledge and client-first approach have enhanced our mission to deliver exceptional advisory services.”

Ropp brings decades of private aviation experience spanning aircraft sales, operations, management and business development. He previously served as chief sales and service officer at Priester Aviation, now GJP Aviation, overseeing multiple operating bases and a large managed fleet, and as senior vice president of Enterprise Sales at flyExclusive.

He has also held executive roles at Jet Linx Aviation, Jet Aviation, JSSI, Sentient Flight Group, Million Air and Midcoast Aviation, and earlier in his career founded an aircraft detailing company serving clients in Florida and Missouri.

Founded in 2009, Mente Group has advised on billions of dollars in aircraft transactions and is a member of IADA, NBAA, NAFA and the American Society of Appraisers.
