Company declares turnover of 1 billion CZK for the first time in their history
ABS Jets have posted their financial results for 2011. Turnover is at an
all time high breaking the 1billion CZK barrier for the first time, the increase
in turnover is up 2% compared to 2010.
Similarly gross profits are up by 23% compared to 2010, coming in at 44
million CZK. The results underscore what an excellent year 2011 has been for
ABS Jets, in addition to posting strong financial results the company made a
number of major investments in 2011.
One of the key projects for ABS Jets in 2011 was investment in
infrastructure. This included the opening of a new hangar at the Prague whilst Hangar C
was fully reconstructed and opened as a dedicated maintenance facility.
Similarly further investment was put into development of company buildings to
enlarge the office space and make it easier to manage the facility. At ABS Jets
Bratislava operation more brand new offices and facilities were opened.
Another aspect of ABS Jets successful year was the increase in ABS Jets’
fleet of aircraft. Two more aircraft were added to the fleet, taking the total
number of aircraft up to 13. While ABS Jets were busy expanding their own fleet
the company also helped other aircraft operators grow their fleets. ABS Jets renewed
the contract to be the authorised sales representative for Embraer Business
Aircraft and sold a Phenom aircraft to a buyer in the Czech Republic.
There were increases in staff numbers during the year and the company
will be introducing green energy with installation of new wind turbines. These
will supply ABS Jets with “clean” energy and will result in a reduction of ABS
Jets carbon footprint.
Finally, returning to the financial aspects of ABS Jets business plan,
there was the successful issue of a portfolio of Eurobonds in the latter part
of 2011. This underscored the financial strength of
the company and immediately placed ABS Jets into the top level of companies on
the Burza Cennych Papiru Praha a.s.(Czech Stock Exchange Prague Ltd).
Vladimir Petak ABS Jets chief executive said “Despite 2011 being a challenging year, both in the business aviation
sector and the global economy, I am very pleased with what we have achieved. We
have focused very much on maintaining ABS Jets profitability, and despite
difficult trading conditions, these results demonstrate what a great job everybody
at ABS Jets has done.”
Commercial director Antonia Tomkova added “We have had an incredible year in 2011. It is gratifying to see that
results from our strategic business and marketing
initiatives have turned into solid financial results and placed the
company in such a strong position. These results
confirm the position of ABS Jets as a leading player in European Business Aviation.”
