Rockwell Collins Venue selected by Jet Aviation Basel
Venue HD cabin management system will be retrofitted on a BBJ2
Rockwell Collins has been
selected by Jet Aviation Basel to retrofit its Venue HD cabin management system
on a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ2).
The announcement was made at
the First Annual Business Jet Interiors World Expo in Cannes, France.
“Venue has quickly become
the most selected HD cabin system in all market segments, with more than 120
installations ranging from turboprops to large VIP jets, and Jet Aviation’s
selection of it further supports its popularity,” said Dave Austin, vice
president and general manager, Cabin Systems for Rockwell Collins. “Both
operators and passengers greatly benefit from Venue’s modern user interfaces,
its unmatched flexibility in third party product integration, and its highly
reliable fiber optic backbone.”
“An important part of Jet
Aviations’ completions strategy is to be the front runner in high quality cabin
technology and outfitting. Part of this strategy is to provide our
customers a Cabin Management Systems (CMS) that supports the wide variety of
advanced audio and media applications and systems. Today’s market has several
CMS options which are extremely competitive. After a detailed selection
process, the Rockwell Collins Venue systems commercial appeal and technical
capabilities was considered by us as the perfect fit for our narrow body
program here at Jet Aviation,” said Neil Boyle, vice president Completions Centre
at Jet Aviation Basel.
