Qatar Executive, the corporate jet charter subsidiary of Qatar Airways, has taken delivery of its fourth Gulfstream G650ER.

This order makes Qatar Executive the world’s largest single owner-operator of the G650ER.

Qatar Executive introduced the G650ER into its fleet in 2015 and began phasing out its fleet of Bombardier Global aircraft. The operator now has an agreement signed for up to 30 Gulfstream aircraft including the G650ER, the G500 and its sister ship, the Gulfstream G600.

The Gulfstream aircraft were ordered to help support the operators rising demand for longer-range private flights.

“The demand from our customers for longer-range private air travel continues to grow,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways Group. “Taking delivery of our fourth Gulfstream G650ER executive jet, making Qatar Executive the largest single owner and operator of G650ER luxury private jets in the world, means we can continue to meet this demand.”

Gulfstream first partnered with Qatar Executive in 2014 when it became the launch partner for the Gulfstream G500.

“Gulfstream delivered the first G650ER for air charter operations in the Middle East to Qatar Executive in 2015,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream. “At that time, Qatar was interested in introducing a new and enhanced level of service to its customers and determined that Gulfstream aircraft were the ideal choice to do so.

“We are proud to continue that relationship with this milestone and value the confidence Qatar Airways has in Gulfstream and our employees who design, manufacture, service and support these aircraft.”
