Aviation software provider Portside has announced a series of product and AI initiatives aimed at modernising its platform and guiding customers away from older scheduling tools toward its four core solutions: Avianis, BART, Horizon and Takeflite.

The Raleigh-based company is rolling out several AI-powered features across its portfolio, including automated safety report classification, AI-enabled manuals for flight crews and a voice and text scheduling assistant called Roger AI currently in beta.

Two further tools including an AI quoting and revenue intelligence engine, and a connected agent ecosystem using the Model Context Protocol are targeted for beta release in Q4 2026.

“We build AI to eliminate friction from daily workflows, sharpen decision-making, and deliver measurable value,” said David Kim, chief product officer of Portside.

Alongside the product announcements, Portside confirmed it is retiring two legacy scheduling platforms, FOS and PFM, with customers to be transitioned to the four core solutions on their own timelines.

“Our priority is operational stability today and a clear advantage tomorrow,” said Portia Jensen Corsetti, SVP of Customer Success. “We’re deeply invested in partnering with every customer to ensure our platform propels their operation into the future.”

“The Portside platform has given us easier access to the data and metrics we need to make quicker, smarter, more informed decisions, the improvement has been massive,” said Jeremy Gee, CEO of Wing Aviation.

Portside serves more than 1,200 enterprise customers across business aviation, commercial airlines and aircraft leasing, with a team of more than 235 professionals across 40-plus countries.

The company will showcase its latest AI capabilities at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas from October 20 to 22 at Booth 845.
