Pilatus posts $1.8bn revenue in 2024

Swiss aerospace manufacturer Pilatus announced financial results for 2024 wherein it reported a revenue of $1.8bn, up 10.5% compared to same period last year on the back of strong deliveries.
“At 1.6bn Swiss francs ($1.8bn), total sales grew impressively by more than 10%. Operating income remained at the same high level of the previous year: 243m Swiss francs ($270m). The number of aircraft delivered – 96 PC-12 NGXs, including two leased aircraft, 51 PC-24s and six PC-21s – is particularly encouraging – the figures are even slightly better than the previous year’s results,” said the company in its earnings report.
The company delivered a total of 153 aircraft – five more than last year. Of these 96 were PC-12s, five less than 2023, followed by 51 PC-24s and six PC-21.
Segment-wise breakdown showed nearly 77% ($1.4bn) came from business aviation customers with remainder 23% ($414.9m) coming from government aviation customers.
“In Business Aviation, we look back on a good, but notably challenging year. In a demanding environment marked by both internal and external complexities, we nonetheless succeeded in selling 96 PC-12s and 51 PC-24s,” commented the company on its performance on the business aviation segment.
The company witnessed broad-based growth across all regions with Americas making up for 46% of the total sales, followed by 29.6% in Europe, 14% in Asia, 8.4% from Australia and remainder of 2% sales in Africa.
Overall, the company’s earning before interest and taxes (EBIT) clocked in at $270.5m – slightly higher than the last year’s $267.1m.
Moreover, the company’s order book value reached $3.2bn compared to $2.6bn in 2023 with orders received during the year clocking in at $2.4bn.
