The aircraft was on its second flight of the day, having flown first from Orlando Sanford Airport to Opa-Locka Airport in the North Miami suburbs.
The aircraft then departed Opa-Locka bound for Spruce Creek with three persons on board, when the aircraft apparently failed to stop, ran off the end of the runway and ended up in a pond.
Local law officials confirmed that none of the people on board the aircraft during the accident sustained any injuries.
The aircraft was later removed from the pond by a local towing company.
Spruce Creek is one of the largest residential fly-in communities in the world, with almost as many hangars as homes.
