ExecuJet Africa is expanding its charter fleet with the addition of an Embraer Phenom 300 business jet.

The Phenom 300 will be based at Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport.

ExecuJet Africa operates a number of aircraft, including helicopters, to transport workers between mining sites with basic or non-existent landing strips.

The company is furthering its links to the mining industry, by exhibiting at Mining Indaba 2014 from 3-6 February in Cape Town, South Africa.

Mike Clark, director of Flight Operations, ExecuJet Africa, said: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at Mining Indaba once again and look forward to showcasing our full suite of business aviation services, from aircraft management to chartering helicopters and aircraft such as the Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 and our new Phenom 300.

“Private aviation has become a necessity for mining companies, due to the need to reach remote locations and the poor rail and road infrastructure within Africa.”
