Oryx Jet introduces paperless cockpit after UK CAA issues Electronic Flight Bag approval for its Hawker 900XP aircraft

Oryx Jet recently gained Electronic Flight Bag
(EFB) approval from the CAA for use on its Hawker 900XP aircraft.

The award of the EFB
approval follows 18 months of work by Oryx Jetʼs operations team and chief
pilot, and Oryx Jet is one of the first UK AOC holders to achieve this

Rod Boath, chief pilot for
Oryx Jet commented “Our EFB approval demonstrates Oryx Jet’s commitment to innovation
and maintaining a competitive edge in the executive jet business. At Oryx Jet
we are committed to providing a cutting edge service to our customers, whether
they be on our own fleet of aircraft or those which we manage.”

Boath concluded “Considerable
time, effort and dedication have been spent during the past 18 months in
providing the necessary documentation as well as research material and ensuring
this information met with the requirements of our National Authority. We are
delighted with this latest achievement and we now join a ‘unique club’ of
operators in the UK
that can fly with a paperless cockpit”
