Elliott Aviation appoints new chief operating officer
Elliott Aviation has appointed Dave Makowski as its new chief operating officer (COO). The position will focus on driving executional excellence, efficiency, and profitability across all five MRO locations, according to the company. Makowski joined the organisation on Monday, May 8th, 2023.
“With its reputation and long-standing history in the industry, I am excited to join the Elliott team,” said Makowski. He added that he is ready to begin the role by learning more about the organisation and then executing the planned expansion of maintenance capabilities while enhancing customer experience.
Makowski brings to Elliott Aviation experience in avionics, operational execution, and maintenance management. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Makowski spent more than 25 years with Delta Air Lines in roles focused within avionics. He also spent 10 years with NetJets in operational leadership roles. Makowski’s most recent role was with Wheels Up as senior vice president, Maintenance Management.
