NBAA supports vote to approve Michael Graham for further NTSB term

Prior to joining the NTSB, Michael Graham worked for more than 20 years at Textron Aviation.
The US Senate Commerce Committee’s vote to approve Michael Graham to serve another five-year term on the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been welcomed by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
US President Donald Trump nominated Graham to continue his work at the NTSB in June 2025. Yesterday’s vote of approval by the Senate Commerce Committee on Science and Transportation means Graham’s nomination moves to the full Senate for consideration.
If reconfirmed by the full Senate, Graham’s term on the board will end on December 31st, 2030.
“NBAA strongly supports Mike Graham’s nomination to continue his outstanding work at the NTSB,” said NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen. “Mike has demonstrated a dedication to aviation safety throughout his career, and his qualifications speak for themselves. We encourage the Senate to confirm him and ensure he can continue to address the complex safety challenges facing the nation.”
Prior to joining the NTSB in 2020, Graham worked for more than 20 years at Textron Aviation primarily as the company’s director of flight operations safety, security and standardisation. He also served on NBAA’s Safety Committee.
Graham is a certified airline transport pilot with 10,000 flight hours and is type rated in six different Citation models. Graham earned a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of New Mexico.
