Turkey’s MNG Jet buys Global 5000

MNG Jet, the Turkish charter company, has placed a firm order for a Global 5000 aircraft.

“The Global 5000 aircraft is the perfect addition to our current fleet,” said Mehmet Nazif Gunal, president, MNG Jet. “The aircraft combines speed and range, with unparalleled comfort and luxury.”

MNG Jet is the corporate jet division of MNG Aviation a Turkish company that also runs a cargo airline and offers commercial aircraft maintenance. As well as operating a Challenger 601 aircraft and providing maintenance on executive jets, MNG Jet is expanding into business jet aircraft management, operations and spare parts.

“We are seeing more and more operators of commercial fleets investing in business jets to meet their very particular and demanding corporate needs,” said Steve Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft.

Bombardier says the Global 5000 will be able to fly eight passengers, and three-crew, from Istanbul to New York or Istanbul to Seoul without stopping to refuel. The list price for a fitted Global 5000 is $45 million.
