David Yip has been appointed acting CEO at Metrojet.

Metrojet has appointed Dave Yip as acting CEO, effective from January 1st, 2025, as its current CEO Gary Dolski retires on that date.

The new CEO is backed by more than 20 years of management experience in the commercial and business aviation sectors, according to the Hong Kong-based business jet operator. The company said his strong industry and regional knowledge in aircraft management and maintenance, coupled with his leadership skills, makes him well-suited to guide Metrojet through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Dolski joined the company in April 2017 as MD of Aircraft Management and Charter. He was appointed as CEO five months later. The company said his significant contributions included winning board approval and developing the new Metrojet Engineering Clark maintenance and hangar parking facility in Clark, the Philippines and expanding both Hong Kong and Clark maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) business, including OEM authorisations.

It also highlighted Dolski’s contribution in navigating the company through the pandemic years, industry downturn and current geopolitical turmoil. “Under Gary’s eight years of dedicated service, Metrojet has maintained their steadfast focus on safety, quality and customer centric approach to business,” said the company.

David Tong, vice chairman of Metrojet added: “We extend our deepest gratitude to Gary for his eight years of excellent service and are excited to welcome Dave to his new role. Dave’s expertise and vision will be instrumental as we continue to expand our services and deliver exceptional value to our aircraft management and maintenance clients.”

Meanwhile, in August the company promoted Rudgen Guzman to the role of deputy general manager of Metrojet Engineering Clark.
