Ken Forester, Meridian’s CEO says: “As we continue our national expansion, Greg will play a critical role in establishing and building the Meridian brand within Hayward, California, and more broadly, the entire West Coast.”

“Our sales offices in Hayward, San Jose, and Santa Rosa were the first step in our growth plan.  We are confident that Greg will play a key role in developing our new FBO at Hayward and expanding our fleet of managed aircraft.  His wealth of experience will be an asset to the organization, and we are really happy to have him on the Meridian team,” Forester adds.

Corporate Jet Investor asked Johnson three questions:

What challenges do you see in your new role in the future?

I believe the only challenge is encompassed around regional market awareness.  Meridian has an excellent reputation on the east coast as a first class service provider for its distinguished clients.

My goal is to take that same reputation and move it out west both in building the new FBO at Hayward and growing the managed fleet as well.  Meridian already has the entire infrastructure in place and has begun to move toward a nationwide provider of corporate aviation services.  My job is to take that momentum and run with it.

Do you see Meridian growing further. More FBO’s for example?

Meridian has always positioned itself for intelligent and steady growth.  Once the new FBO in Hayward is up and running, I would foresee most of the growth happening on the aircraft management and charter side of the business.   However, I don’t believe anything is out of the question.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in aviation?

If you have a passion for aviation, jump in with both feet and enjoy the ride.  It can be quite fun making a living in the world of aviation.
