Houston-headquartered jet management and private charter company Cockrell Resources has rebranded as Houston JetDirect to highlight the company’s expanding services to remote destinations across America.

Demand for charter flights to such locations has grown significantly following the sharp reduction in commercial airline services to regional airports during and after the global pandemic, according to the company.

Alberto Castro, the company’s president and general manager, said: “Following two years of dramatic change in the aviation industry, the company is poised to offer greater value to a larger number of aircraft owners and travellers.”

Castro, who started his career as an aircraft technician and previously worked as project manager at StandardAero, added: “Rebranding now to focus on our primary mission makes sense.”

In addition to offering aircraft management services, the business has expanded its charter offering of direct flights from Houston and other locations in Texas and the southwest to destinations across North and South America. Its fleet includes the Dassault Falcon 2000LX, various models of the Bombardier Challenger, the Cessna Citation Sovereign and the Learjet 45 and 75.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the name change documentation. Ownership of the company has not changed and remains privately held.
