Malawi ratifies Cape Town Convention

The Cape Town Convention was initially signed by 53 countries in 2001.
Malawi has brought the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment into law which should protect the rights of aircraft financers in the country
Malawi in south-east Africa has become the 52nd country to have ratified the Cape Town Convention, which recognises the rights of aircraft financiers.
Malawi is the second country to bring the Cape Town Convention into law in 2014, following Kuwait.
