Mahindra Aerospace has chosen the Hartzell three-blade 84″ diameter aluminum propeller for its Airvan 10 single-engine, turbine-powered, ten-seat utility aircraft, certified last year.

“Mahindra’s selection of a Hartzell prop for its flagship airplane is the most recent example of an aircraft manufacturer selecting the most reliable and highest performing propeller available today for their newest model.”

JJ Frigge, executive vice president of Hartzell Propeller, said: “Mahindra’s selection of a Hartzell prop for its flagship airplane is the most recent example of an aircraft manufacturer selecting the most reliable and highest performing propeller available today for their newest model. We are very pleased to continue the relationship on the Airvan series, which began in the 1980s and continues today, following Mahindra’s acquisition of the programme in 2009.”

Developed as a new FAR Part 23 certified aircraft, the Airvan 10 retains the piston-powered Airvan 8’s aerodynamic design and shares many of its production parts.

More than 240 Airvan 8 aircraft are in operation throughout the world fitted with Hartzell propellers.
