London City’s Private Jet Centre gets Stage 2 ISBAH accreditation
London City Airport’s Private Jet Centre (PJC) has achieved Stage 2 accreditation in the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (ISBAH).
By attaining Stage 2 accreditation, London City’s PJC, the closest business aviation provider to central London, said it has “showcased its commitment to sustaining the highest standards” of safety, efficiency and professionalism.
Chris Clayton, commercial manager at London City PJC, said: “We are ecstatic to achieve Stage 2 accreditation in the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling accreditation, a testament to our team’s commitment to safety and operational excellence.”
To achieve accreditation, the PJC has implemented a safety management system, adhered to operational protocols and successfully completed a series of audits conducted by independent third-party assessors.
Clayton added: “Our customers can continue to have full confidence in the safety and efficiency of their aircraft, knowing that we have undergone rigorous assessments, with our FBO adhering to internationally recognised practices.”
The news follows an appeal by London City Airport made earlier this month against a decision blocking its application to extend operating hours and increase the current cap on annual passenger throughput to nine million. The London borough of Newham recently rejected the planning application, which was lodged by the airport in December last year.
According to London City Airport, plans to expand operations could create up to 4,500 jobs and contribute an additional £702m in gross value to the London economy.
